Dwight Merriman — Chief Executive Officer


Dwight Merriman joined Black Creek Group in 2010 as the CEO of Black Creek Group's industrial platform. Mr. Merriman currently serves as Head of Real Estate for Black Creek Group responsible for the oversight of the investment process for industrial, office, retail and multi-family investments. In April 2017, Mr. Merriman was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund. Mr. Merriman has also served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Industrial Property Trust Inc. Mr. Merriman is also a member of Industrial Logistics Realty Trust Inc.’s Board of Directors. Mr. Merriman has been active in acquisition, development, value-added investment opportunities, and operations activities related to industrial and office property acquisitions since 1984. Prior to joining the Black Creek Group, he served for three years as a Managing Director at Stockbridge Capital Group LLC; for seven years as a Managing Director at RREEF Funds where he started CalSmart, a $1.2 billion value-added real estate investment firm with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System; and for five years as Managing Director at Carr America Realty Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Merriman spent 11 years developing office and industrial property in Southern California with Overton, Moore & Associates. Mr. Merriman holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles.
 

Raj Dhanda — President


Raj Dhanda joined Black Creek Group in 2016 as President, Black Creek Group, U.S., responsible for the oversight of distribution, marketing, product development, operations and legal functions. In April 2017, Mr. Dhanda was appointed President, Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund. Prior to joining Black Creek Group, Mr. Dhanda spent 26 years at Morgan Stanley, leading key divisions of their Institutional and Wealth Management platforms, while also serving on the firm’s Management and Risk Committee for his last eight years. Most recently, he was head of Investment Products and Services in Wealth Management, responsible for all of the products distributed by Morgan Stanley's financial advisors. In this capacity, he worked closely with the firm's financial advisors and third party asset managers to design and distribute products offering a breadth of investment solutions. In addition, as a member of the division’s Executive and Operating Committees, Mr. Dhanda worked to develop strategies for the changing regulatory environment and the opportunities that technology and data offer today in the wealth management channels. Mr. Dhanda holds a BA in both Business Economics as well as Organizational Behavior & Management from Brown University.
 
 

M. KIRK SCOTT — CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER


Mr. Scott has served as our Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Vice President and Controller. Mr. Scott also serves as Controller of our Advisor. Since joining us in April 2008, Mr. Scott has overseen and developed investor and lender relations, finance, financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal audit, securities and tax compliance, lender relations and other related areas of responsibilities. Prior to joining us in 2008, Mr. Scott was Controller of Denver-based NexCore Group, a fully-integrated real estate development and operating company primarily focused within the medical office sector that has developed or acquired over 4.7 million square feet of facilities. Within his capacity as Controller, Mr. Scott directed and oversaw the accounting, financial reporting and compliance, budgeting, forecasting and investor relation functions for the NexCore Group. From 2002 until 2006, Mr. Scott was Assistant Controller at Dividend Capital Group and DCT Industrial during that company’s growth from inception to more than $2 billion in assets under management where he was responsible for establishing the organization’s accounting and financial reporting function including compliance with the rules and regulations of the Commission, FINRA, the Internal Revenue Service and various state blue sky laws. Prior thereto, Mr. Scott was an auditor with KPMG focused on various commercial real estate assignments. Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Wyoming and Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado (inactive).
 

J. MICHAEL LYNCH — Managing Director — Office


Mr. Lynch currently serves as Managing Director — Office. Mr. Lynch previously served as President from 2013 to April 2017. He has more than 30 years of experience in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and development strategies. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Lynch worked for GE Capital and served as the Chief Investment Officer for Arden Realty, Inc. Before that, Mr. Lynch worked closely with Mr. Johnson and Mr. Kincaid at Equity Office Properties Trust (“Equity Office,” formerly NYSE: EOP) as the Senior Vice President of Investments. While at Equity Office, he managed office investment activity throughout the United States, and completed transactions valued at more than $1.5 billion of core and core-plus properties. Mr. Lynch was instrumental in expanding the Equity Office presence into Austin, Texas and many west coast markets. Equity Office was the largest publicly traded REIT and owner/manager of office properties in the United States. Mr. Lynch was instrumental in the transaction when it was acquired in 2007 by Blackstone Group for $39 billion. In addition to his positions with Arden Realty, Inc. and Equity Office, Mr. Lynch was the Director of Acquisitions for PS Business Parks and Development Partner at The Parkway Companies. Mr. Lynch serves as an Advisory Board member for American Homes 4 Rent. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Lynch received his bachelor of science degree in economics, cum laude, from Mount Saint Mary’s College and his master’s degree in architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
 

Joshua j. widoff — executive vice president, secretary & general counsel


Joshua J. Widoff has served as Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel since October 2010, and served as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel from September 2007 to October 2010. Mr. Widoff has served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Industrial Income Trust Inc. since December 2013 and served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Industrial Income Trust Inc. from May 2009 to December 2013. Mr. Widoff has also served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Industrial Property Trust Inc. since September 2012. He has also served as a Managing Director of Black Creek Group LLC, a Denver-based private equity real estate firm, since September 2007, and as Executive Vice President of Dividend Capital Group since October 2010. Prior to joining us and Black Creek Group LLC in September 2007, Mr. Widoff was a partner from October 2002 to July 2007 at the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, P.C., where he was active in the management of the firm, serving as chairman of both the firm’s Associate and Recruiting Committees and overseeing an integrated team of attorneys and paralegals servicing clients primarily in the commercial real estate business. During more than a dozen years of private practice, he managed transactions involving the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposition of various real estate assets, including vacant land, apartment and office buildings, hotels, casinos, industrial/warehouse facilities and shopping centers. He also participated in asset and stock acquisition transactions, convertible debt financings, private offerings and complex joint venture negotiations. Mr. Widoff served as general business counsel on a variety of contract and operational issues to a wide range of clients in diverse businesses. Mr. Widoff currently serves as a Co-Chair and Commissioner for the Denver Urban Renewal Authority. Mr. Widoff received his Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity University in Texas and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
 
 

GREG MORAN — Executive VICE PRESIDENT


Greg Moran is Executive Vice President for Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund. Mr. Moran has been an active participant in the institutional real estate community since 1998. From December 2001 through July 2005, Mr. Moran was a portfolio manager in the real estate investment group for the Public Employees’ Retirement Association of Colorado where he was directly involved in the ongoing management of a global real estate investment portfolio with more than $2 billion of invested equity. Mr. Moran was responsible for sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities, ongoing asset management of existing portfolio investments and relationship management for more than a dozen strategic partners and advisors of the fund. From September 1998 through December 2001, Mr. Moran worked in the capital markets group at Sonnenblick-Goldman Company, most recently as a Vice President. During this time, Mr. Moran was responsible for raising and structuring debt and equity investments in commercial real estate projects on behalf of public and private real estate investment companies. Mr. Moran received his bachelor’s in business administration and master’s in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin – McCombs School of Business. He is also a CFA Charterholder, member of the CFA Institute, Denver Society of Security Analysts, Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
